Failsafe Foundation (“Failsafe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a nonprofit organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. We offer information and, where available, recovery support to founders and builders after difficult endings.

The content on this site is provided for general informational and supportive purposes only. It is not legal, financial, medical, or mental-health advice, and it does not create a professional relationship. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional for your specific situation. Nothing here should be relied upon as a substitute for that advice.

Failsafe is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or are thinking about harming yourself, please call or text 988 (the U.S. Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call your local emergency number, or go to the nearest emergency room. We cannot provide urgent or real-time intervention.

Any grants, guidance, peer connection, or other support Failsafe may offer are provided at our discretion, subject to availability, eligibility criteria, and applicable law. Contacting us does not guarantee that support will be offered, and we may decline or discontinue support at any time. We do not charge individuals for support.

When using this site, you agree not to:

• use it for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or interfere with the site’s operation or security;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone; or
• harass, threaten, or harm others, or submit content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringing.

When you contact us, please share only what you are comfortable sharing. You are responsible for the content of your messages. By sending us information, you grant us permission to use it solely to respond to you and provide support, consistent with our Privacy Policy. We will not publish your story or identify you without your explicit consent.

The site, its text, design, and other content are owned by Failsafe Foundation or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. You may read and share our public content for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution. Please do not reproduce it commercially or present it as your own.

Our site may link to other organizations and resources, including Failsafe Institute and Failsafe Alliance, and outside services such as the 988 Lifeline. We are not responsible for the content or practices of sites we do not operate. Visiting them is at your own discretion and subject to their terms.

The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any information is complete or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Failsafe Foundation and its directors, officers, volunteers, and staff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its content. This does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Failsafe Foundation is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located there, to the extent permitted by law.
